8 things to check when choosing a birthday party venue

1. Your guests’ age range

The same party can include 7-year-olds, parents and older siblings. In a space designed only for small children the adults end up on the sidelines; in one designed only for teens the little ones struggle. An activity that fits a wide age range makes the celebration meaningful for everyone.

2. Group size and flow

Tell the venue your guest count in advance and ask whether guests play at the same time or take turns. The longer the waiting, the faster children lose interest. How many people each game takes and how long a round lasts shape the flow of the party.

3. Getting there

A venue close to public transport and easy to find helps guests arrive on time. Put the floor and entrance details clearly on the invitation.
